China State Construction Integrated Building is a large high-tech enterprise under China State Construction Technology Group, focusing on the research and development of modular space product technology and advanced manufacturing. The cooperation between the two parties will effectively promote the application of phase change energy storage technology in passive temperature regulation of buildings.

Improving building envelope structures can effectively regulate indoor temperature and save energy, generally by enhancing insulation or increasing wall thickness to improve thermal storage capacity. Traditional building materials and solutions no longer meet the multifunctional requirements of modern buildings, as traditional materials have limited thermal storage capacity, and active HVAC systems consume a lot of energy to regulate indoor temperature. Phase change materials have thermal storage capacities dozens of times greater than traditional materials like sand and gravel, and can customize phase change temperatures, providing intelligent temperature regulation. Utilizing the high energy storage, low weight, intelligent temperature control, and high flexibility of phase change materials can effectively address the shortcomings of passive temperature regulation in modern buildings, with no later maintenance costs, lower energy consumption, and greater comfort and health.
